Description
Wild blueberries can be found in fallow fields or lesser loved lands left fallow.
Now rare, some family farms have succeeded in taming them and grow them in an artisanal way, like the Picard Farm in Saint-François on the tip of Île d’Orléans. Otherwise, many berry growers grow highbush blueberries, such as the Patriot variety.
It is harvested between the summer and fall strawberry and raspberry crops. We combine them to make a recipe for potted blueberries.
